Brian Poor's practice focuses on patent prosecution, both in the United States and internationally with a particular emphasis on molecular biology, vaccines, immunology, diagnostics and pharmaceuticals.

Brian has extensive experience both as an in-house patent agent and attorney, and as an attorney in private practice, representing a variety of clients in all phases of patent law. This experience includes drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patents, post grant proceeding, patent portfolio strategy and development, as well as providing opinions of patentability, patent validity and infringement, freedom-to-operate, and due diligence relating to technology licensing and venture capital investment.

Brian has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in a wide range of technologies, including for example, molecular biology, recombinant and reassortant viruses for vaccine compositions, molecular immunology methods and compositions, biologic pharmaceutical compositions and methods for production, methods for preparing activated antigen presenting cells for cancer therapy, diagnostic tests for viral, bacterial, cancer, and inflammatory diseases, transgenic plants and animals, cellulose fiber, and pulp and paper processing methods, monoclonal antibodies and their antigen binding derivatives, immunotoxins, peptides as antigens and immunogens for diagnostics and as therapeutics, somatic embryogenesis methods and compositions in plant and tree generation, and nutraceutical compositions.
