Brenden Carlson brings his strong chemical and biotechnology background to his practice. With significant experience in technologies such as cosmetics, organo-electronics, paints and coatings, pharmaceutical and nutritional supplements, polymers, and wood preservation, Brenden applies his design, formulation, and manufacturing knowledge to write comprehensive applications to protect clients’ products and technologies.
Brenden’s technical experience extends to chemical synthesis in organic and inorganic chemical compounds, smart skin technologies, and functional carbohydrates, as well as food chemistries such as sugars, gelling, and fatty acid chemistries. His professional experience includes product development collaborations with leading global food, beverage, cosmetic, and consumer product corporations.
Brenden has a Ph.D. in organic and inorganic chemistry and a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Washington. He is the lead inventor on over 50 issued patents and 40 pending patent applications. He is the author of over 30 peer-reviewed publications in prominent scientific journals.
