World IP Day 2016
Today, organizations and individuals worldwide will observe World Intellectual Property Day. Established in 2000 by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization), this annual celebration aims to raise awareness of the role of intellectual property in encouraging innovation and creativity, and to recognize the contributions made by creators and innovators to the development of societies around the world. The 2016 World IP Day, "Digital Creativity: Culture Reimagined," will explore some of the challenges surrounding the creation and distribution of cultural works in today's ever-developing digital technology industry.
