Established in 2000 by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization), this annual event aims to increase awareness of the important role intellectual property plays in everyday life, and to celebrate the contributions made by creators and innovators to the development of societies around the world. This year's event, focusing on the power of music, is titled, "Get Up, Stand Up. For Music.”
