USPTO To Release User Interface for Dossier Access
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) just released a user-friendly online interface for patent applicants to access dossiers of related applications filed at participating offices around the world on November 23, 2015. As part of its Global Dossier Initiative, the new service will enable patent applicants to view, monitor, and manage intellectual property protection globally.
The Global Dossier Initiative, which was launched in 2011, is a program aimed at modernizing the global patent system and delivering benefits to all stakeholders through a single, secured point of access. The project is being delivered by five IP offices located in the U.S., Europe, Japan, Korea and China, referred to as IP5.
