USPTO Launches Consumer Contest to Combat Counterfeiting
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) recently announced the launch of an anticounterfeiting video contest, inviting entrants to submit creative videos to help raise awareness about the negative effects of counterfeit products. The "Consumers Combat Counterfeits" contest is open to U.S. citizens aged ten and over, with submissions accepted from July 27 through October 31, 2018. A public awareness campaign about the negative impacts of counterfeit products will include the winning entries, and the winners will be invited to an awards ceremony at the USPTO headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia.
