Tim Billick Presents at KCBA IP Section Meeting
COJK attorney Tim Billick will present, "LinkedIn Can’t Shake the Scrapers (yet) - DMCA and CFAA Treatment of Profile 'Scraping' in the Ninth Circuit," at the upcoming King County Bar Association (KCBA) Intellectual Property Monthly Section Meeting. The presentation will address the potential liability of web crawling and scraping under both the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act; as well as include a brief summary of the recent Ninth Circuit decision in the matter HiQ v. LinkedIn. Tim created this presentation with his colleagues from the Seattle Intellectual Property Inn of Court and will be discussing additional updates to the HiQ case. The program will take place on March 5 at the KCBA office center located at 1200 Fifth Avenue, Suite 700, Seattle, WA.
