KCBA Hosts 2016 MLK Luncheon
To honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the King County Bar Association (KCBA) hosted its annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Luncheon. Guest speaker at this year’s event was legendary civil rights adviser Dr. C.T. Vivian. Dr. Vivian is best known for his work with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as the national director of affiliates for the Southern Christian Leadership Conference organization. Founder of the C.T. Vivian Leadership Institute, Dr. Vivian was awarded The Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013, the nation’s highest civilian award recognizing exceptional meritorious service.
