ITC To Extend Investigations Due To Government Shutdown
As first reported in Law360, the International Trade Commission (ITC) plans to extend patent cases and other investigations at the ITC for more than one month following the 34-day government shutdown that ended on January 25, 2019. The commission will issue Federal Register notices soon to provide more information for investigations that were in process at the time of the partial shutdown. The ITC was closed for the duration of the shutdown, suspending investigations and disabling the e-filing document submission portal, affecting trade remedy and patent cases. The Federal Notices will be posted on the ITC website as they are issued.
