India Adopts Madrid Protocol for Trademark Registration Process
India will be added to the long list of countries already streamlining the international trademark registration process by ratifying the Madrid Protocol. As of July 8, 2013, trademark applicants will have the option to include India when filing new applications under the Madrid Protocol.
The Madrid Protocol is an international filing system established to provide a cost-effective and efficient way to file a centralized trademark application in a single office, in one language, with one set of fees, and in one currency.
