Entrepreneur Workshop - Session Two: Branding Basics
Thursday, July 18, 2013
12:00 - 1:00 pm
Session two of COJK's four-part workshop, "Protecting Your Intellectual Property," discusses branding basics. Trademarks and design can be some of the most valuable assets for a company. Distinctive branding allows a business to build recognition, consumer goodwill, and a reputation in the goods or services it offers, as well as to distinguish it from competitors. This session will discuss the basics of branding, including trademarks, trade dress, design patents, and copyrights. Attendees can expect to learn what qualifies as a good trademark and how to protect it, as well as other ways to protect the indicators of source of a product or service. COJK attorneys Alina Morris and Rhys Lawson will present.
COJK, in partnership with Northwest Entrepreneur Network, is pleased to offer this free program. Space is limited, so please register by July 16, 2013. The session will take place at the law office of Christensen O'Connor Johnson KindnessPLLC, located at 1420 Fifth Avenue, Suite 2800, Seattle, WA 98101.
