David Sheldon Presents at Icelandic IP Seminar
COJK patent attorney David Sheldon was invited to participate in the program, "Software and computer-implemented inventions: Patenting strategies and possibilities," which took place in Reykjavik, Iceland. David joined intellectual property (IP) practitioners from Iceland and Munich to discuss the patentability of computer-implemented and business-related inventions, the utilization of IP rights as a business tool, and the legal and business perspective of patent protection in Europe and the United States. David's presentation explored the patent protection and enforceability of computer- and business-related inventions in the United States, with an emphasis on recent court decisions and their implications.
The half-day seminar was arranged by the Federation of Icelandic Patent Professionals (FEIS) and Association on Industrial Intellectual Property Rights (SVESI), in association with the Association of Icelandic Industries, University of Iceland, Reykjavik University, AUDNA-TTO, and the Icelandic Patent Office, and took place on September 22, 2017 at the Hilton Nordica Hotel located in Reykjavik, Iceland.
