COJK To Host Design Patent Program
COJK will present the panel discussion, “Design Patents: An Important Tool in Your IP Toolbox,” which will discuss the importance of design patents as part of an intellectual property (IP) portfolio. Recent court decisions have highlighted the value of design patents, particularly for individuals and businesses with distinctly designed products or packaging, demonstrating the importance of understanding design patents, the scope of the protection, and the advantages offered by obtaining them. IP litigation attorney John Denkenberger, and patent attorneys Rhys Lawson and Kevan Morgan will provide insights and examples about design patents, their benefits, and the risks every patent manager should know. The program will take place at COJK on December 11, 2013 from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
