COJK Sponsors CASRIP GLS
COJK is pleased to have been a sponsor of the University of Washington’s Center for Advanced Study and Research on Innovation Policy (CASRIP) 2022 Global Innovation Law Summit (GLS). The event was conducted over two days, with the first day reflecting on the origins of the Unified Patent Court and the Unitary Patent System, comparing the new system with those of the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Day two of the program included a review of the past ten years since the establishment of the first-to-file patent system with the passing of the 2012 America Invents Act and the roles of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in patent enforcement, as well as examining the necessity of further reform of the U.S. patent system.
