COJK Sponsors 2025 Environmental Innovation Challenge
COJK was a sponsor of the University of Washington’s 2025 Environmental Innovation Challenge. The competition challenges interdisciplinary student teams to identify significant environmental problems and to develop practical and innovative solutions. Each team designed and built a prototype directed to their solution and created a business plan demonstrating commercial viability. The business plans and prototypes were pitched to a group of judges on April 3, 2025, to compete for seed money for implementing the plan. This year, a record eight different student teams took home awards. COJK attorneys Taylor Fairchild, Rhys Lawson, and Matt Ruppel participated as judges.
