Seattle University School of Law is currently hosting its second annual Summer Practice Academy, a series of intensive and interactive certificate programs for lawyers on cutting-edge topics designed to enhance their practice and develop their skills in growing areas of the law. The courses draw upon the significant expertise of the law school faculty, as well as prominent practitioners in the community. The programs include discussions around topics such as trial advocacy; health care (including the Affordable Care Act); Indian law; legal writing; and fundamentals and enforcement of intellectual property law.

COJK attorneys John Denkenberger, Brian McMahon, and Alina Morris presented the three-day program, “Intellectual Property: From Fundamentals to Enforcement,” last week. Day one covered the basics of intellectual property; day two explored a practical understanding and application of IP in the business world; and day three discussed advanced client issues and IP conflicts.
