COJK Named to IAM's 2015 List of Leading Patent Practitioners
COJK and three members of the firm were included in International Asset Management (IAM) magazine’s fourth annual publication of the guide, IAM Patent 1000 — The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners. The guide identifies the top patent professionals and leading firms in key jurisdictions around the world. IAM Patent 1000 recommended COJK for both patent prosecution and litigation in Washington state, noting that "as well as it handles the dramas and unpredictability of patent litigation, this stalwart Pacific Northwest IP outfit is especially comfortable on prosecution, counselling and transactions." John Denkenberger, co-managing member of the firm and head of the litigation practice group was named to the list for all three categories for Washington state: litigation, prosecution, and transactions; Jerry Nagae, leader of the firm's patent practice group, was recognized for patent prosecution and patent transactions; and co-managing member George Renzoni was recommended for patent prosecution. The guide was compiled by an extensive research process which included hundreds of interviews with attorneys at law, patent attorneys and in-house counsel to gather market intelligence on the leading lawyers in the field. Firms and individuals qualify for a listing on the basis of their depth of expertise, market presence and the level of work on which they are typically engaged.
