COJK Client Landesa Assists World's Poorest To Secure Land Rights
COJK provided pro bono assistance to Landesa (formerly Rural Development Institute) with the prosecution of the trademark application for their new mark. Landesa, a Seattle-based nonprofit organization, works with the governments of countries struggling to create opportunity and a better future for its poorest citizens, particularly with the goal of empowering women through the power of secure land rights. Landesa works with local government officials to implement new land laws and programs carefully crafted to fit the particulars of geography, political institutions, history and culture.
