COJK Attorneys Attend 2016 INTA Conference
COJK attorneys Everett Fruehling, Alina Morris, Jerry Nagae, and Melissa Nowak attended the 138th International Trademark Association (INTA) annual meeting that took place in Orlando, Florida. Over the course of five days, trademark practitioners were given the opportunity to attend discussions on the fundamentals of licensing, the differences in perspectives between trademark practitioners and academics, and personal branding and marketing. Advanced topics included effective mediation, strategies to combat counterfeiting for brand owners, and a comparative analysis of trademark law and practice in countries around the world.
Alina Morris facilitated the luncheon table topic discussion, “More Than Merely Descriptive: Anticipating, Answering, Amending and Accepting Trademark Act Section 2(e) Refusals,” on May 25. The 2016 INTA Annual Meeting was held at the Orange County Convention Center on May 21 – 25, 2016.
