COJK Adds to Patent Team
COJK is pleased to announce that Taylor P. Fairchild has joined the firm as an associate. Taylor will focus her practice on drafting patent applications related to biochemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering technologies.
While in law school, Taylor was a law clerk at COJK, transitioning to the position of associate after graduation in June from the University of Washington School of Law. Taylor holds a B.S. degree in biochemistry from The Evergreen State College, and she will graduate this year with an M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington. With a background in software coding, combined with her knowledge of biochemistry and electrical engineering, Taylor brings an interdisciplinary approach to her practice.
Taylor is the latest associate to join COJK’s patent practice as the firm continues to add to the team. Lateral-hire associates Mark A. Bailey, Ph.D., who joined the firm in March, focuses his practice in the areas of molecular biology, vaccines, immunology, diagnostics, and pharmaceuticals; and Leron Vandsburger, Ph.D., who joined the firm this past February, focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling in the areas of materials, engineering, and electronics. The addition of these three talented associates to COJK’s patent practice enables the firm to serve more clients in the dynamic life sciences and engineering fields.
