Christensen O'Connor Johnson KindnessPLLC (COJK) is pleased to announce that
Alina Morris, and Casey Fitzpatrick have joined the firm as Associates of its Trademark and Computer Science/Electrical Engineering Practices, respectively.

Alina S. Morris is a former USPTO Trademark Examining Attorney and leverages her insider expertise with the trademark application and registration process to help clients register their marks and protect their brands. Previously of Invicta Law Group PLLC, Amazon.com Inc., and Knobbe Martens Olson and Bear LLP, Alina specializes in domestic and international trademark counseling, clearance, filing, prosecution, registration, maintenance, enforcement, defense, and portfolio management.

Alina received her J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 2004. During law school, Alina served as Executive Articles Editor for the American Intellectual Property Law Association Quarterly Journal and was Executive Director of the Law Revue Show. Alina also won first prize in the 2003 Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition, sponsored by the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).

Casey Fitzpatrick, formerly of Klarquist Sparkman, LLP, has been working with software industry clients since 2001. Casey has extensive experience in preparing and prosecuting software-related patent applications. Casey's technical expertise covers a wide range of technologies, such as mobile devices, graphical user interfaces, digital video and audio codecs, digital photography and image processing, e-commerce, software development and testing tools. Casey has a B.S., in General Science from University of Oregon, and a M.Sc., in Computer Science from University College London. He received his J.D. from University of Idaho in 1999.
