Christensen O'Connor Johnson Kindness Welcomes Brian McMahon as a Member of its Litigation Practice
Christensen O'Connor Johnson KindnessPLLC (COJK) is pleased to announce that Brian McMahon has joined the firm as a Member of its Litigation Practice. Mr. McMahon's primary focus is defending clients' intellectual property rights. He has extensive experience litigating and enforcing such rights in a variety of technological fields, particularly in the pharmaceutical, mechanical, and electrical arts.
Prior to joining the firm Mr. McMahon spent nearly 10 years litigating intellectual property matters for Am Law 50 firms. Among the many cases he handled were the defense of a major generic pharmaceutical company in Hatch-Waxman ANDA litigation, the enforcement of a USPTO regulatory ruling before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the defense of several major medical device manufacturers in various patent litigations in District Courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission. Mr. McMahon advises clients with respect to Hatch-Waxman litigations and is currently working with key personnel to reshape the recently enacted biosimilars legislation, the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act of 2009.
Mr. McMahon received his B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1996 and his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2003. After graduation he served a one-year term as a judicial law clerk for then Chief Judge H. Robert Mayer of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
